Our research focuses on four core areas:
- Financial stability
- Macroprudential regulation and policy
- Pension fund behaviour and regulation
- Bank behaviour
Our work is interrelated across these areas. For example, our focus in bank behaviour is linked to financial regulation and financial stability.
Our strengths are evidenced in our existing and developing track record in research publication and doctoral supervision, recent grant-aided work for the Bank of England and our three Impact Case Studies for the REF 2021.
We utilise the unique Fitch-Connect database for research into individual bank behaviour as well as published sources such as the World Bank Global Financial Development Database.
