About us
Our research group juxtaposes healthcare management and leadership from a cross-cultural and comparative perspective Healthcare is essential for achieving sustainable development, in particular, UN Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3 which focuses on equitable access to health and wellbeing for all.
We embrace an interdisciplinary approach to address global and societal challenges related to healthcare management. We do this by encouraging cross-fertilisation and collaboration, and building upon the strategic strength of Brunel’s Health Science research and Brunel Business School.
Against the Covid-19 pandemic, leadership becomes even more critical to gain public trust and leaders need to equip with the ability to lead individuals and organisations to handle challenges and uncertainties. From a comparative perspective, different culture and leadership styles can have diverging impact on healthcare management and provides the opportunity to share best practices and learn from each other. Therefore, we aspire to gain a nuanced understanding of context and the role of leadership in managing healthcare.
