Interdisciplinary research
The Institute of Communities and Society hosts regular events to bring academic colleagues and their research teams together to discuss and debate their research, to explore ideas for developing and enhancing the impact of their research, and to identify new opportunities for grant proposals. We support interdisciplinary research with particular expertise from the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences.
We work closely with the other Brunel Institutes in order to bring our human-experienced-based expertise to bear on the five Brunel strategic challenge areas: Communities, Health, Manufacturing, Sustainability and Digital.
Our diverse national and international teams work in partnership with communities. Bringing Science, Technology, Engineering and Medical researchers together with our researchers is one of our key aims.
