Engineering The research profile of engineering at Brunel continues to improve; with one of the largest submissions in the UK, the second largest in London, and 10% larger than the last time the REF was conducted in 2014. With a research environment that was judged to be world-leading and internationally excellent, 80% of our outputs were assessed at or above internationally excellent. Over the last seven years, we have won total funding of £133.2 million for our engineering research, treble the value covered by REF 2014, and have graduated 459 PhD students. View full results here.
