This exciting new interdisciplinary Artificial Intelligence Strategy MSc programme prepares you for a successful career as a leading professional in Artificial Intelligence (AI). You will develop a systematic understanding of the Artificial Intelligence domain, and learn all the practical, leadership and research skills needed to analyse the application, regulatory and management aspects of AI in global organisational contexts.

Course content
The programme is designed to give you hands-on opportunities to learn about the implications, applications, limitations and opportunities of Artificial Intelligence in various private, public and third sectors. You will learn how to determine when to pursue new, frontier technologies and consider options for how to implement them for wider organisational and societal benefits.
You will develop the expertise to plan, design and implement appropriate and ethical AI solutions in practical scenarios, with a focus on business applications of artificial intelligence and learn to prepare for future challenges of AI.

- Artificial Intelligence Ethics, Power and InclusionIntroduces you to different ways of thinking about ethics, power, inclusion, equality and diversity and to apply these perspectives in the context of the technical, organisational and social changes that are taking place through the implementation of AI.
- Artificial Intelligence Leadership and Business ModelsEnables you to appreciate the issues and challenges that confront managers responsible for artificial intelligence and its implications for leadership when (re)aligning business models, structures, embedding corporate governance in an AI context
- Law, Policy and Governance of Artificial IntelligenceProvides you with an in-depth understanding of legal and ethical concerns, implications, and risks of using artificial intelligence and machine learning in various sectors and the tools available to enhance legally compliant and ethically responsible use of artificial intelligence.
- Artificial Intelligence Technologies for Decision MakersGives you an overview of the technical details and challenges that face AI application design, development and adoption within organisational settings and covering AI applications using Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Natural Language Processing (NLP).
- Artificial Intelligence Strategy and TransformationEnsures you understand and evaluate various AI Strategies and transformation options from corporate, institutional, and national perspectives including methodological approaches, and strategies relevant to the adoption, implementation, diffusion of AI.
- Praxis 1 & 2You will apply your learning from each term to address a major AI related challenge faced by organisations in the public, private or third sector. You will work in groups to identify and make the case for their holistic AI ‘solutions’ to address these challenges. Exemplar challenges will include Grand Challenges and the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
- Dissertation
Allows you to demonstrate and evidence their expertise through a piece of independent research, including identification of the research enquiry, data collection and analysis and presentation of results. Under the supervision of an academic member of staff, students develop as an independent learner and brings together their knowledge and skills gained during the programme for the analysis of a specific AI Strategy related problem.

UK entry requirements
A 2.2 (or above) UK Honours degree or an equivalent internationally recognised qualification in or a related or non-related subject.
In addition, applicants should have a minimum 2 years post-graduation work experience to include experience of the following: team work; leading and supporting projects; and report preparation or writing. All applicants should submit a full CV when they apply.
EU and International entry requirements
If you require a Tier 4 visa to study in the UK, you must prove knowledge of the English language so that we can issue you a Certificate of Acceptance for Study (CAS). To do this, you will need an IELTS for UKVI or Trinity SELT test pass gained from a test centre approved by UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) and on the Secure English Language Testing (SELT) list. This must have been taken and passed within two years from the date the CAS is made.

Should you wish to take a pre-sessional English course to improve your English prior to starting your degree course, you must sit the test at an approved SELT provider for the same reason. We offer our own BrunELT English test and have pre-sessional English language courses for students who do not meet requirements or who wish to improve their English. At Brunel Business School (BBS), you will experience a rich and engaging on-campus learning environment. Our modules are delivered through engaging lectures, and in most modules, through seminars that allow for interactions in smaller groups. Teaching includes lectures, informal small study groups, and individual and group presentations.
A particular feature of the course is the use of case studies to contextualise contemporary theory and practice. Presentations offer the opportunity to gain valuable experience required by most employers.

Assessment and feedback
The study blocks are assessed using by individual and / or group assignments.
Coursework has been designed to give you a chance to demonstrate critical and constructive thinking and reasoning. Your dissertation is a 12,000 word document that will show your ability to conceive, design and execute a major project, which confidently substantiates your chosen line of enquiry.
