Brunel University of London has a long history of collaborating with non-academic partners to develop solutions to real-world problems and impactful projects.
Increasingly, research projects are designed and carried out in close collaboration with industry and societal partners. We value these partnerships and produce outcomes that are genuinely useful to our collaborators through working together closely.
There are also opportunities to engage with our students through placement partnerships, mentoring and guest lectures. There are a range of ways to work with academics including consultancy, research for specific challenges you are working on, partnering for InnovateUK funding or Knowledge Transfer Partnerships, and being a core partner on a research project. We provide training to businesses through the RIEm programme, HIVE business skills, and Co-innovate, Design Plus and Design Factory London programmes. There are also opportunities to engage with our students through placement partnerships, mentoring and guest lectures.
Each year we work with an Artist in Residence on a different theme. They work with our academics and students to develop artistic responses and events.
