Take advantage of the opportunities we have to make your learning experience truly global.
English literature has had a profound impact on the way in which people relate and communicate across the world. Our English courses give a literary ‘world journey’ and show how narratives in English impact the wider world.
However, the best way to truly understand the link between literature, culture and society is by experiencing it yourself. Studying English at Brunel means you’ll have the chance to take your learning global with international exchanges to our partner universities in Paris, Perth, Toronto and Melbourne. You’ll benefit from immersing yourself in a completely new culture, while learning the impact of English literature in an international context – combining to give you an unforgettable experience during your degree.
Exchanges take place in either the first or second terms of your second year (exact dates vary), and the modules you study abroad will count directly towards your degree credits (keeping your total length of study the same). As would be the case in the UK, you are expected to cover your own travel and living expenses.
