The Centre for Engineering Dynamics comprises an interdisciplinary team of academics and researchers from a range of engineering disciplines. We carry out research into dynamic systems using Brunel’s extensive laboratory and computing facilities that provide excellent support to our research students. We support PhD students in the following research themes: Performance integrity – robustness and reliability; system integration; engineering tribology Active devices – piezoelectric devices; vibration modelling; robust and fault-tolerant control, system modelling and simulation Dynamic structures – structural health monitoring; adaptive structures; biomimetic dynamics Conduct your research in a dynamic and supportive environment Studying a research degree at Brunel Become part of the Graduate School Mechanical Engineering research projects Bring your research to Brunel Funding your research degree We have a number of funded research degree opportunities Find out more about research degrees at Brunel Ready to apply?
