Centre directors
Our centre is led by Dr Daniel Bailey (Director) and Dr Oli Gibson (Deputy Director)
They are two internationally-recognised scholars with a strong track record in physical activity, sedentary behaviour, and exercise research in the context of improving health and performance.
Their work has informed clinical and community care practice to optimise the prevention and management of illness and disease, in particular, cardiac rehabilitation and occupational health contexts, and in climate extremes.
Dr Bailey’s research has also impacted on national and international guidelines e.g. World Health Organization 2020 guidelines on physical activity and sedentary behaviour.
