About Multimedia and Mutimodal Systems

The multimedia research focuses on the area of perceptual multimedia quality and how one builds end-to-end communication systems incorporating user perceptual requirements. We combine the area of multimedia with multi-modal and multi-sensorial interaction research to understand how additional senses can affect the user when interacting with digital content. Virtual Experiences can be enhanced by implementing haptic, olfactory, and even gustatory interactions between the multimedia content and the users for a more immersive experience.
