Digital governance (DG). The research theme concerns the role of IS and ICT in transforming government. The group is actively working on EU research grants on public policy modelling and electronic participation as well as social innovation.
Sustainable logistics and supply chain management (SLSC). This research theme is concerned with applying optimization and simulation techniques in minimizing environmental impact from the operations of logistics and supply chains in our societies. Diverse types of supply chains including food and humanitarian supply chains are within the research scope of the theme.
AI for empowering business resilience. This research theme focuses on developing innovative models and solutions to enhance the resilience of businesses against supply chain disruptions. By analysing risks and the impacts of uncertainties and disruptions, we aim to empower businesses through advanced AI technologies that support informed decision-making. Our approach encompasses both proactive and reactive strategies, enabling companies to anticipate, respond, and recover from disruptive events effectively. Through our research, we strive to equip businesses with the tools to better understand their vulnerabilities and implement efficient recovery actions, ensuring sustained operational continuity and customer satisfaction.
