Disclaimer Information
Students on professional courses that will be requiring a DBS check must provide details of all spent and unspent convictions, cautions, reprimands or warnings that would not be filtered in line with current guidance.
Students who are unsure whether they should declare a past offense are advised to contact Unlock, an independent charity who will provide advice for people with criminal convictions.
The amendments to the Exceptions Order 1975 (2013) provide that certain spent convictions and cautions are 'protected' and are not subject to disclosure. Guidance and criteria for these convictions and cautions can be found on the DBS website.
More information about this can be found in the Admissions Policy.
