What are the entry criteria?
You will usually be expected to meet our standard first year entry criteria, so take a look at the course pages of the courses you are interested in to check you meet that criteria.
>If you don't meet the criteria for first year entry, we would still encourage you to contact admissions, who will be able to confirm if we can consider your application
You should be currently completing or have completed the first year of a similar degree
As all degree courses are slightly different, so where necessary the admissions tutor will review your first year module specification to check the content of the first year of your degree. They will check that it’s similar to Brunel’s first year and that you have the background knowledge to join our second year successfully.
How do I apply?
All second year applications should be submitted through UCAS. However if you would like to confirm if we can consider your application before submitting your application, please email admissions and let them know:
- Which Brunel course you are interested in
- Full details of your school and college qualifications and grades (for example GCSEs, BTECs, A levels)
- Details of your current first year or equivalent qualification, including the full course title and where you are studying
- Admissions will confirm if it is possible and then you will need to apply for second year entry through UCAS
- The application process is the same as for first year entry
- You just need to enter second year as the point of entry on your UCAS form
A handful of our courses may not be available for second year entry, due to spaces not being available or if the course structure makes it not possible. Admissions will inform you if this is the case.
