Summary
Elaine is the programme lead for Specialist Community Public Health Nursing (SCPHN) managing 6 pathways. The pathways are Health Visiting BSC; Health visiting PGDip/M; School Nursing BSc; School Nursing PGDip/M; Occupational Health BSc; Occupational Health PGDip/M. There is also a module to enable SCPHN qulaified nurses to expand into a new field of SCPHN practice. Elaine also manages the team to support student to attain recognised prior learning (RPL) and PGDip SCPHN students can return within 5 years to complete their Masters module. Health Visiting and School Nursing students can undertake an optional module as part of their SCPHN to be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as a community practice nurse prescriber (CPNP) V100 nurse prescriber.

RN (Mount Vernon and Harefield Hospital Prize Winner); RSCN (The Hospital for Sick Children, Great Ormond Street Hospital); BSc Community Health (Brunel University London Prize Winner); MSc Health Promotion and Public Health (Brunel University London); Community Practice Teacher (CPT); Nurse Teacger (NT); Higher Education Fellow (HEF); Queens Nurse (The title Queens Nurse is awarded to community nurses for demonstrating leadership in the community).
Responsibility
Elaine is responsible for leadership and management of SCPHN programmes. Elaine has been responsible for organising interprofessional learning for SCPHN students with the Social Work Team since 2012. Elaine represents the Nursing Division at the Extenuating Circumstances panel.
