Ms Gamze Bilen
PhD Student
Summary
I gained my BA degree in Science Education at Gazi University (in Ankara, Turkey). Then, I completed my MA degree in Science Education at the Institute of Education-University College London. Currently, I’m conducting my PhD research in Education at Brunel University London.
I have had experience in private tutoring as a science teacher. Especially, tutoring made me curious about how and why the science interest of students is different. In my research, I am interested in the science identity of students and its association with values through the lens of the intersectionality approach. My PhD research is supervised by Prof Mike Watts and Dr Andrew Carroll.
