Summary
Reshu Agrawal Sagtani is a doctoral researcher at the Health Economics Research Group, Department of Health Sciences, holding the PhD scholarship for the academic year 2024/25. Her PhD research will focus on cost effectiveness of community based interventions for prevention and management of hypertension in Nepal. The expected outcome of her study is to generate economic evidence which can facilitate informed decisions for resource allocation. Alongside her PhD, she is also involved in the research activities of the Global Health Research Center (Nepal) established by NIHR grant for Global Health Research Center for Multiple Long-Term Conditions .
She is a registered general dental practitioner and public health professional in Nepal. She also serves as a faculty of School of Public Health, Patan Academy of Health Sciences, Nepal. She is an academic editor of PLOS ONE and reviewer of journals related to public health and dentistry.
Reshu is a member of International Health Economics Association (IHEA), International Society for Pharmacoeconomics and Outcomes Research (ISPOR), International Epidemiological Association (IEA), and Nepalese Association for Dental Research (NADR).
Her primary supervisor is Professor Subhash Pokhrel, second supervisor is Dr Sayem Ahmed and RDA is Dr Shirley Crankson. As her research is primarily based in Nepal, her local supervisors are Dr Archana Shrestha and Dr Ghanshyam Gautam.
