We provide support on topics including writing style and structure, presentations, time management, and more.
ASK do not offer a proofreading service but we are happy to discuss your work.
ASK 1-2-1 Appointments
You can make an appointment to see an adviser if you have any questions about your writing or study skills. Appointments are 30 minutes and students can only book themselves one slot per day.
During term-time our appointments are at the following times:
- Mondays 10am - 7pm (online & on campus)
- Tuesdays 10am - 7pm (online & on campus)
- Wednesdays 10am - 5pm (online & on campus)
- Thursdays 10am - 7pm (online & on campus)
- Fridays 10am - 5pm (online & on campus)
We have appointments on campus and online using Microsoft Teams. You can choose one of these options per day.
When you book an appointment, you will receive an email confirmation which has the information on the location of your on campus slot or a link to your MS Teams appointment enclosed.

Written advice on writing style
Alternatively you may wish to send us a writing sample so we can provide feedback on style and structure of your writing. Please note that this is not a proofreading service but a way of helping you improve your writing.
You are allowed to send us 1 writing sample per term, including during the summer. Please allow 4 working days for this service.
