ASK Week (November and February)
These events focus on academic writing, dissertations and statistical/ SPSS support. These sessions are primarily geared towards undergraduate students, but PGT students may also find them useful, and all students are welcome to attend. The workshops are a combination of online and on campus sessions and students can attend with no advance registration required. Please access the ASK Brightspace pages for more information.
Undergraduate Dissertation Week (January)
This is a week-long series of workshops run by the ASK team designed to help students complete their undergraduate dissertation. Workshop topics range from academic writing and criticality skills to specialised sessions on specific chapters, such as the literature review and the discussion, as well as SPSS workshops for those doing statistical analysis.
Master's Dissertation Week (March/April)
This event offers sessions tailored specifically for Master students writing up their dissertation, no matter where they are in the process of their dissertation. Students don’t need to register, they can just attend the sessions that feel applicable to where they are in their student journey.
Maths Cafe (April/May) and Maths Cafe Express (August)
Bring along your Maths questions/ problems and receive one-to-one help or study in an informal setting. All levels are welcome and we have paper resources, tea, coffee and snacks.
