If you aspire to work in today’s vibrant and diverse theatre industry, our theatre programmes are designed for you.
With us you can follow your passion and still develop the skills employers are looking for while having the flexibility to gain the experience you need to enter the creative industries. Production budgeting, designing for specific audiences, working in the community and CV writing all form part of your theatre studies and will help you get ready for work. This is also when you will undertake work experience, preparing you for a career in the creative industries.
If you enrol in our Theatre BA courses, you will explore and examine the latest industry developments and labour practices in specialised modules during your second and third years, designed to prepare you as a critically informed artist.
Apart from the wide number of theatre-related work opportunities which you will be able to explore, our team also has well established links with theatre venues and companies in London and the UK. You will be encouraged to draw on these relationships in order to undertake the right work placement experience that's best suited for your interests.
Past students have undertaken work experience at Les Enfants Terribles, Akram Khan Dance Company, Paines Plough and the National Theatre. As well as gaining valuable experience in a professional environment you will be given opportunities to plan your future and gain the tools necessary to feel confident when applying for jobs and internships. Our links with theatres and other businesses mean we can help you find a place to develop your specific interests.
Our graduates are working as theatre producers, actors, performers, playwrights, stand-up comedians, casting directors, event managers and community theatre officers for local councils. See some of our inspirational alumni.
