Summary

Allison joined Brunel University, London in August 2019 as Clinical Academic Reader Physician Associates. She is Programme Lead for the MSc Physician Associate programme, leading a number of Physician Associate Specific modules- Applied Pharmacology and Foundations of Clinical Medicine A.

Allison is a nurse by background, specialising in critical care of the adult and child. More recently she has held an honorary contract in a large Foundation Trust in the South of England, working in medical assessment and ambulatory care. Allison Trained at Kings’ College Hospital London and completed her undergraduate, post graduate and Doctoral studies whilst working full time in secondary care and Higher Education.

Allison has previously taught at Southampton University and the University of Surrey where she was Deputy Head of Continuing Professional Development and programme lead for both BSc (post registration) and post graduate studies.

Allison’s research interests include inter-professional learning, Simulated Practice Learning- using High Fidelity Silicone Patient Simulation, simulation scenario development and peer assessed medicines management OSCEs. Her research includes primary research and systematic reviews.
