Summary

I am a first-year doctoral researcher within the Centre of Cognitive and Clinical Neuroscience. Following an initial PhD in the Humanities, an M.Sc in Mindfulness: Neuroscience and Clinical Applications and a career as a professional coach specialising in Mindfulness, Neuroscience and Emotional Intelligence within Leadership Developmen I am keen to contribute to research in the field of contemplative science.

As a keen meditator myself I am interested to explore the mechanisms of meditation in bringing about greater sustainable/existential wellbeing, focusing on the role of metacognitive introscpective awareness and the degrees of fixation on mental contents. I have trained in micro-phenomenological interview and analysis methods and will be using this methodology to illuminate the temporal unfolding and experiential texture of subtle meditative experiences.
