Media interests
Over the years, I have contributed to numerous TV and radio programmes, such as "Princess Alice: The Royals’ Greatest Secret" (ITN Broadcasting Company, 2020), "Moi, Sigmund Freud" (Radio Broadcast Series—France Culture, 30 July – 3 August 2018), and "Genius of the Modern World—Freud" (BBC TV Productions, 2016). The latter documentary, presented by the acclaimed broadcaster and historian Bettany Hughes, has been shown on TV channels around the world.
My research on Freud's involvement with the treatment of Princess Alice of Battenberg (the mother of Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh) was featured in newspapers and magazines all around Europe, such as Der Spiegel (Germany) and XLSemanal (Spain), after it was published in History of Psychiatry.
I have also presented my work via various Podcasts, such as 'Rendering Unconscious' and 'Exp-editions', and contributed to "What is Psychoanalysis?", a 4-part educational film series for students and teachers, which is primarily aimed at A-Level Psychology students. Some episodes in the series, which can be viewed on YouTube, have attracted in excess of 230,000 views.
