Summary

David is a Reader in Sustainability and Global Value Chains at Brunel Business School. He joined the school in 2017 from Bournemouth University, where he was a Research Fellow. He has also worked as a User Experience Researcher on the DFID-funded Internet Portals Evaluation Project in Ghana, Nigeria, Tanzania and Uganda, and as a consultant for various international organisations such as the World Bank, UNDP, and FAO. He holds a PhD in International Development and has a background in both social and natural sciences. His research interests include climate change and green growth, circular economy, food and agriculture systems, global value chains, innovation, and technology management. David is currently exploring the role of artificial intelligence and machine learning in sustainable plastic circular economy. His research has appeared in journals such as Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Technovation, Socio-Economic Review, R and D Management, Science and Public Policy, Journal of Small Business and Enterprise Development, The International Journal of Entrepreneurship and Innovation, and Project Management Journal. Before his PhD studies, he worked as a researcher at ISSER, University of Ghana, and taught Enterprise Development at Ho Technical University, Ghana.
