Research area(s)
My doctoral thesis combines analysis of media texts with innovative text-in-action methods and semi-structured interviews to compare media representations of British working-class women’s unpaid domestic labour to lived experiences of this work. As such, it foregrounds the voices of working-class women in wider debates surrounding the organisation and value of social reproduction labour in the UK.
