Research Interests

Main research interests are in the Human Rights Law, Public Law, International Human Rights Law, Public International Law. Dr Renzulli is  interested in particular in the theory and the practice of human rights mechanisms and bodies and the role of national, regional and international institutions with a human rights mandate. Her current research focuses on the conceptual, normative and legal frameworks for the prevention of torture and its implementation, the interaction between international human rights law and penal systems, the impact and influence of human rights law on the protection of prisoners and offenders in the criminal justice system more generally.
