Research supervision

​Professor McMeeking is currently supervising currently supervising two PhD students. The first project estimates the short and long term effects of textual properties associated with mergers and acquisitions press releases. The second project examines whether improvements in planning and reporting on performance auditors enhance their impact and value.

Students are invited to submit research proposals on any of the aforementioned research areas.

Professor McMeeking has also supervised five PhD students to completion. Topics include

  • Cash flow reporting - problems and challenges
  • An examination and assessment of mandatory financial instruments disclosures
  • Does corporate environmental and social reponsibility matter for firm performance? 
  • Essays on corporate risk management 
  • The role of human and social capital in assessing firm value.
