Dr Kiran Kandade
Lecturer in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship

Eastern Gateway 103

Summary

I am a researcher and educator in the field of enterprise and entrepreneurship. My overall research interests are in the areas of family owned and managed businesses, succession and leadership development, and women in entrepreneurship. Further research interests are in understanding the intersectionality of gender and succession in family firms, sexual harrassment in the corporate world, and immigrant founded businesses.

After completing my PhD in management from Aston University, Birmingham, UK in 2022, I joined Brunel Business School as a lecturer in Enterprise and Entrepreneurship in 2021. Principally a qualitative researcher, I harness the power and richness of stories and emotions to enhance my research. I have undertaken research on relationships around successors in small and family owned businesses and the impact of these relationships on the longevity and prosperity of the firms across generations of leadership.

My extensive international corporate experience at CXO levels across Asia, Europe, and the U.S.A,  informs my teaching and my research deeply.

I welcome inquiries from potential PhD students in areas matching with my research interests.
