Dr Konstantina Bania
Senior Lecturer in Commercial and Private Law

Research area(s)

Konstantina's research interests lie in the fields of competition law, tech regulation, and media law. Her work focuses on competition law enforcement in digital markets, the regulation of tech giants, and the regulation of the media industry in an increasingly digitised and data-driven market. She is one of the leading experts in platform regulation, in particular the Digital Markets Act and the Digital Services Act.

Konstantina is currently working on disentangling initiatives to regulate large platforms and how those initiatives interact with one another in terms of the substantive obligations they establish and their enforcement architecture. Konstantina is particularly interested in the reform of the existing legal framework to protect data privacy, media pluralism, competition, and fairness (in both platform-to-business and platform-to-consumer relations).
