Summary
I am a Doctoral Researcher at the Division of Sociology and Communications at the Department of Social and Political Sciences, College of Business, Arts, and Social Sciences. Grew up in the foothills of the Himalayas in the Indian state of Assam, my research is largely focused on postcolonial Assam, borderlands, detention camps and river islands at large. I have completed my graduation from the University of Delhi with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and pursued my post-graduation in Sociology from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. I am currently working as an Honorary Researcher at the National Health Services, Department of Health and Social Care, England. Previously, I have been a part of research projects funded by the Leverhume Trust and the British Academy in the capacity of a Research Assistant.
