Summary

Rebecca Pizzey is a PhD student in Creative Writing at Brunel University London. Working with her primary supervisor Professor Bernardine Evaristo, and her second supervisor Dr Kate Houlden, she is completing a thesis composed of a full-length novel that will examine the variant forms of sexual trauma, with an accompanying body of research that will explore the language of sexual trauma within fiction. Rebecca was awarded a full Techne scholarship to conduct this research, and enrolled as a student in October 2021. Prior to the commencement of her PhD, Rebecca completed her MA in Creative Writing at Brunel University London in 2015 (Distinction) and her BA in English Literature and Creative Writing in 2014 (First Class Honours), both under the supervision of Professor Bernardine Evaristo.
