Research Interests
I am a Behavioral and Experimental Economist whose research spans multiple domains including bargaining behavior, social preferences, cooperation, conflict resolution, biases in the perception of random processes, evolutionary game theory, auction behavior, and financial contagion. So, generally speaking, my primary interest lies in the methodology of experimental research, with the overall aim to "reality check" concepts and ideas from economic theory. This interest is motivated by a deep scepticism of economic concepts and ideas that are devoid of the true nature of the human condition.
In my current projects, I work on
- Communication strategies that foster cooperation
- The impact of voting majorities on the ability of groups to cooperate
- The wisdom of crowds and biases in the perception of random processes.
- Diffferences in efficiency between private and public provision of common goods
I welcome dissertation supervision opportunities in behavioral and experimental economics, whether empirical or experimental in approach.
