Sport and design related subjects at Brunel University London have been recognised as some of the best in the world in the new QS World University Rankings.
The rankings, from global higher education analysts Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), ranks over 13,000 courses, across 48 broad disciplines, from 83 countries.
Brunel’s sports and design related subjects did particularly well in this year's rankings, with the university’s sports courses considered amongst the 100 best in the world (joint 9th in the UK), whilst art and design is within the 150 best (joint 17th in the UK). Meanwhile, Brunel’s engineering courses (Mechanical, Aeronautical and Manufacturing) are within the top 250 globally.
The QS World University Rankings considers four sources – global surveys of academics and employers, which gauge each university's international reputation in each subject area; and two indicators which together measure the impact of a university's research.
