Sport in Mind is a charity dedicated to improving the lives and well-being of people with mental health issues through physical activity. The organisation provides sports programmes that designed by people with personal experience of mental health issues to aid the recovery of people across the community, ensuring a better quality of long-term life.
Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:
In this role, you will support the organisation in operational areas, including administration, planning and delivery. On this placement, you will develop your administrative abilities as well as your confidence and organisational skills.
Typical duties include:
- Supporting the organization with administration tasks
- Attending and supporting events
- Helping new attendees settle into sessions
- Engaging with attendees in a calm, friendly and non-judgmental manner
Please note, the organization requires that you to commit to a minimum of 70 hours.
