Details of the Charity:

Hillingdon Women’s Centre is a charity dedicated to supporting women in escaping and healing from domestic violence. The organisation provides advice, workshops, and support to women experiencing domestic violence, ensuring that survivors can live safe, independent, thriving lives.

Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:

In this role, you will expand the charity’s online reach using social media, alongside preparing and distributing promotional material. As a Social Media and Communications Officer, you will expand your use of social media, learn to manage your time, and develop an awareness of UK charity practice.

Typical duties include:

  • Using tools like Canva to post on social media and expand the charity’s platform
  • Sharing blog posts, news articles, and campaigns relating to the women’s sector
  • Writing the bi-monthly newsletter
  • Monitor the social media accounts across a variety of platforms

Please note, the organisation is only able to accept women volunteers, and requires that you to commit to a minimum of 7 hours a week for 6 months.
