Mary’s Meals – Community Volunteer

Details of the Charity:

Mary’s Meals is a charity dedicated to providing nutritious meals to schoolchildren living in some of the world’s poorest countries. The organisation provides food and funding to give children the energy and time to attend school, ensuring that they can move towards a brighter future.

Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:

In this role, you will spread the word about Mary’s Meals and generate support within the local community. As a Community Volunteer, you will develop your fundraising and networking skills, learn how to plan and execute events and have the opportunity to receive speaker training.

Typical duties include:

  • Distributing promotional materials and placing collection tins
  • Generate support from businesses in your local area
  • Organising fundraising events like coffee mornings, quizzes and challenges
  • Communicating with your dedicated Supporter Engagement Officer to ensure everything gets done

Please note, the organisation would like you to commit to a minimum of 3 months. Mary's Meals will advise if you require a DBS check and arrange accordingly.
