Rayners Lane F.C. is a semi-professional football club founded in 1946 and currently competing in the Spartan South Midlands Football League, which is at the ninth tier of the English football league system. The organisation has a long-standing history within the local football scene and has had varying degrees of success over the years.

Details of the Volunteering Opportunity:

In this role, you assist to prevent, diagnose, treat, and rehabilitate injuries and conditions that affect athletes playing matches at the club. As a Sports Physio, you will learn a set of skills such as clinical assessment and diagnosis, manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercise, and modalities.

Typical duties include:

  • Assisting with stretching and exercising during the men’s warm-up
  • Assisting with any injuries the men’s team faced during matches
  • Helping athletes to implement treatment plans designed for their needs
  • Supervising athletes as they perform prescribed excises, ensuring proper techniques are followed

Please note, the organisation would like you to commit to a minimum of 3 months.

To be eligible for this position, you must be available on Thursday mornings.
