Summary
I am Professor of Operations Management with the Operations and Information Systems Management (OISM) research group at Brunel Business School, and from 2017 through 2023 served as Vice Dean (Research) for the College of Business, Arts and Social Sciences (CBASS). I serve as BBS Associate Head. I moved to Brunel in 2006, where I became Reader in Operations Management and Enterprise in 2010 and then Professor of Operations Management in 2015. After serving as Director of Undergraduate Programmes (2006-2010), I was appointed Deputy Head for Teaching, Learning and Accreditation (2010-2015) and combined that role with directorship of the Operations and Supply Chain Systems (OASiS) Research Centre (2013-2015). I served as Associate Head of the Brunel Business School between 2015 and 2017, and was appointed College Vice Dean (Research) in July 2017.
Research and knowledge transfer expertise centres around sustainability considerations applied to stakeholder relationships in operations networks and value/supply chains. My work explores the determinants and facilitators of stakeholder partnership. It seeks to understand the mechanisms through which corporate social responsibility and circularity can be embedded and sustained, with a particular focus on inter-organisational knowledge transfer, stakeholder engagement and social capital and social value, and enabling digital technologies and data analytics.
