My research expertise lies in operations, supply chain and quality management, with a particular focus on sustainability issues, relationships, corporate responsibility and knowledge transfer, and my research has been supported through European Commission and Chartered Institute of Management Accountants grants. Specific research interests are:

  • Sustainability issues, circularity and corporate responsibility, often in the context of supply chain partnerships
  • Stakeholder partnerships, supply chain purchasing strategy and buyer-supplier relationships
  • Knowledge transfer in supply chain relationships and the circular economy
  • The hydrogen economy
  • The link between operations strategy, business strategy and firm performance (with a particular focus on strategic and operational issues in SMEs)
  • Embedding and sustaining Total Quality Management (TQM) / Business Excellence as a management approach
