Miss Immy Hillyard
PhD Student

Summary

Immy is studying for a PhD in education under the supervision of Prof Philip Garner and Dr Giuliana Ferri.

Immy completed her BSc in Secondary Education with Physical Education QTS at Brunel Univeristy in 2009. Immy later completed her MSc in Anthropology of Childhood, Youth and Education at Brunel Univeristy in 2016.

Immy's main interests lay in special educational needs (SEN) and she has taught for more than 10 years within SEN schools. Immy continues to teach SEN students and currently lives in London.

Outside of work and academia Immy enjoys sports and exercise. She particularly enjoys running and has twice completed the London marathon as well as having completed several ultra-running events.
