Summary
Zafeira is a Senior Lecturer of Strategy, Entrepreneurship and International Management. She holds a BSc in Economics (Aristotle University, Greece), MSc in Finance (University of Sheffield) and PhD in Industrial Organization(University of Warwick). Prior to joining Brunel University in January 2018, she held academic positions at the Universities of Bath, Warwick and Imperial College and professional consultancy positions in the private sector.
Zafeira conducts research at the intersection of strategic (risk) management and corporate finance. Her research has been funded by UK charities (eg., NESTA innovation foundation) and the European Union (eg., EC 6th Framework Research Programme) and published in top-tier academic journals such as the Business Ethics Quarterly, Oxford Bulleting of Economics and Statistics, Economics Letters.
Zafeira is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA) and has taught on a wide range of programmes at Brunel Business School and other academic institutions including the University of Bath Management School, Imperial College Business School, University College London (Economics), and Warwick Business School.
She has also been involved in consultancy work on various antitrust and merger control investigations.
