Entry requirements
We welcome applications from students who meet the following entry criteria:
- Completed at least one year of study at a university, college or higher education institution.
- Statement of purpose (approx. 300 words) and a copy of a short CV.
- If English isn't your first language, you'll need to provide evidence that you have a good understanding of English (i.e. a reference letter provided by your home university).
- Aged 18 or over.

Summer school dates
The summer school will run from Sunday, 13th July to Saturday, 26th July 2025 inclusive.
Fees and costs
Fees for the International Career Pathways Summer School 2025 are £2,550. This will include all tuition, workshops, cultural visits, accommodation and most meals (there will be a select few meals students can expect to pay for themselves).
A 10% discount is available to students from partner institutions and Brunel alumni.
What is Brunel's International Career Pathways in Health and Biomedical Sciences Summer School?
Our two-week International Career Pathways in Health and Biomedical Sciences Summer School is designed to empower you with hands-on experience, advanced knowledge, and essential skills in the field of Health and Biomedical Sciences. The course offers you the unique opportunity to gain proficiency in laboratory techniques and explore a diverse repertoire of bioinformatics tools. You’ll have taster sessions in future Postgraduate programmes in Health and Biomedical Sciences and Brunel Medical School. You'll gain industry knowledge and partake in sessions which include CV and cover letter writing, understanding and writing scientific English for research manuscript composition, presentation skills, and interview techniques.
