Summary

I have a broad range of interests, taking in the areas of: (i) humanistic and literary perspectives on education, (ii) educational enhancement, artificial intelligence and neuroscience and (iii) moral and religious education.  Although diverse, my work in these areas draws commonly on the resources of phenomenology and hermeneutics and the account of human experience and meaning that these philosophies provide.

I am an elected member of the Executive Board of the Association for Moral Education, and Chair of the AME Membership Committee

Responsibility

I lead the 'Pedagogy and Professional Practice' pathway of the MA in Education.

I supervise research students in CBASS Department of Education and am a member of the Educational Doctorate (EdD) teaching and supervision team.
